All of my husband's siblings are in town this weekend for a family reunion. So I had already prepared his one sister he was closest to that I would not be attending the functions they had planned. But did want to see some of them. So had lunch with his two younger sisters and their spouses yesterday. It was a tearful reunion and am so glad I went. We shared some wonderful memories and lots of hugs and more than enough tears from me. I also let them know in no uncertain terms that I NEVER want to see his older sister (bat shit crazy one here in town) Or his younger brother and his wife! It's too long of a story the way my husband was treated by them over the years, but I have nothing but distaste for them. They hurt him so badly with their words and actions over the years that I cannot forgive them or forget. I wanted to get this off my chest when there were enough of them to not get what I said twisted or misconstrued! And I did tell them that you may repeat to his younger brother and his wife exactly how I feel and what I said word for word. Because now at this stage of my life I no longer have to watch them hurt him or neglect his existance. I am at peace with this decision. And one thing I have found in this agonizing grieving bullshit is that the scorpio and mother bear in me has come back to the surface. And if they don't like it, too f***ing bad! It is what it is. Sorry to be so negative, just one of those days I guess.
