It has been over 17 months now since you had to go away but the day I remember most out of the 36 years we had together is the first day that we met. It was a blind date set up by our best friends and I was more than scared. I was a basket case. Then I saw you and I knew immediately that you were very special. We were both 18 years old and had the world in our hands. I was the luckiest boy in the world on that special day in 1974. I didnt know it at the time but that special day led to a lifetime of very special days. Every day that I spent with you was like heaven on earth. Honey you could have had anyone you wanted but you choose me. We were opposites in that I was a coal miners son from up the crick and you were a city girl. Why you wanted to be with me is a mystery to me but I am so thankful that you decided to spend your life with me. Although it was for a short time, that time was by far the best time of my life. When I was with you nothing else in the world mattered. Even though I can no longer hold you in my arms and look into your pretty blue eyes, I still hold you tight in my heart and I will never ever let go of you. Happy Valentines Day Honey. I am sending you lots of Big Hugs and Kisses.
I miss you and will always Love you.
Me
Today, on Valentine's Day, I am remembering the most wonderful man I have ever known. Remembering the days and nights that I spent with you! I was honored to have known and loved you. Today, I learned another fellow Nomad skier we knew has died. I know you, along with Don and Mike, are welcoming Bob into Heaven. I have been blessed to have fallen in love with a fellow DS member and have sent him roses today! I will never forget you my pumpkin. Happy Valentine's Day
On this Valentine's Day I know that you are with me as I go through the day thinking of you and missing you. You would bring me yellow roses and chocolates while I would cook your favorite meal. We would snuggle in the the evening and rejoice in being together. I think back to how we met while working on a church committee and how much fun it was to do that together. I knew right away that you were someone that I wanted to spend time with and be good friends with. Little did we both know that friendship would evolve to love and marriage. Some words of our favorite song come to mind today as they do most day: "It was no accident, me finding you..."someone" had a hand in it long before we ever knew. I tip my hat to the keeper of the stars, He sure knew what He was doing when He joined these two hearts. I held everything when I held you in my arms. I had all I'd ever need, thanks to the keeper of the stars."
I miss you my love and I look forward to the day I join you in paradise. I love you now and always, Gail
I miss you so much today,I have been cryingoff and on all morning, the funny thing is we never really made a big deal of this day, usually you were on the road, and would call me or if you were home I would get roses and maybe go out to eat,but mostly you were on the road.I just love you so much,I'd give anything to see you and hold you.You have been gone 6 and a half months and I have been trying to move on and be happy but today all I can do is cry for you.I know you are loving me from heaven and I will always love you. You are my sweetheart and always will be, I Love You 4ever ME
Thinking a lot about "us" this morning...we were truly "Forever Valentines". This morning we would have made love together, and coffee..and breakfast...in that order :) Then we would have headed to the Inn at Turkey Run...our favorite room 302 with a four poster canopy bed and a hot tub. You would have brought flowers and chocolates, bottled Coke and a guitar.I would have brought "picnic-in bed" supplies (ham and several kinds of cheeses...marble rye bread...fresh fruits and nuts) a 6 pack of micro-brews, bubbles for the hot-tub, lotion for mutual massages and scented candles. We were each other's "Valentine Gift" (and the Get-Away, of course) Sometimes we brought along a sappy love story or a comedy CD to watch together. I would have gotten a new bit of negligee (some women love shoes...I loved lingerie) either in red or black. At sometime we would have taken a hike on the snow covered trails...then settled into the great room downstairs by the huge stone fireplace. You would have brought your guitar down. At some point in time you would have played "Take it to the Limit" because it was always Our Song. We would have spent the evening making love, playing in the hot tub, and watching the CD du jour while picnicking in bed and fell asleep in each other's arms. Thank you for over 18 years of Valentine's together. We were so good together, weren't we? All of my love until next time around. About chocolates...for the last two years now I have got the caramel (it was always yours)...you know...it isn't all it is cracked up to be...
Happy Valentine's Day, love...

I have been thinking so much about the first line to that song your dad wrote, and we adopted with your mom's happy permission.
"Two hearts meet, and then they beat in harmony as one>"" Sparky this heart has taken quite a beating since you have been gone, but it still BEATS. It beats for the BOTH of us and always will. I'll keep it open, and be as you are, always giving, and getting pleasure from doin it, seeing the joy it brings to give, as you brought me joy.
All my love my sweet funny Valentines. Thank you for the many smiles you have given to my heart, and still give through the memories of a life, and of a GREAT LOVE. It was ours Remembering Chris Botti, and the times we just sat and listened to the music and this song.
