I'm so sorry you lost your love at such a young age. I lost my husband last September. He was 59 and I was 55. But I get it, nothing is the same again. The loneliness is still there. I just try to stay busy and spend time with other people to ease the loneliness. This is a good place to share your feelings and feel compassion and encouragement. I wish you comfort and peace.

Very sorry for you. My wife died several years ago, and I still miss her. go to a grief support group to help process your grief. If you feel totally stuck or more serious problems, find a good therapist. therapy helped me get through a terrible time. It does get better but it takes work.

This loss is unyielding and we try to make sense of it, but it's senseless. Your feelings are like the rest of us. I think I went through feeling "why" for a very long time. No answers. All I can say is that I understand. Sharon

Mysteriez, I'm so very sorry...my God, she was so young. I have been on this journey nearly 2 years now. In some ways it still seems as hard (perhaps even harder) than the first few months, but in a sense it does get more familiar with the passage of time, and at least that is a good thing. We will hang in there with you, dear heart. Talk with us anytime about anything!

I know - it doesn't make sense. There is so much joy and depth my partner provided me, that I didn't fully appreciate until she's gone. Her absence - the silence - spoke volumes. Welcome to the group.

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. The death of a wife is very painful and can be traumatic. Allow yourself time to recover. One day at a time! Have you considered seeking out a grief recovery program offered by a local church? Have you thought of setting aside some time every day to work on your grief personally?

I do set aside time daily to work through my grief. I have started writing her letters and that really helps a lot. Thank you for the kind words.

I think raininseattle said it best. I didn't fully realize the connection I had with my husband until he wasn't there anymore. I miss that so much. When I want to connect with him, I close my eyes and think of him.
