I share your feeling (3yrs for me). And many there are here, within this support group, will recognize your painful feelings. You are as family to me because of this familiarity we share. So feel invited to share & express to all as friendly company; use this group as a database to help you get past the afflicted feelings. There is much to learn about these things called death and grief.
I do believe that your husband stands near to you. My husband's image visits me each morning, urges me to a feeling of full compassion throughout the day, and comforts me at bedtime. Yes, just as with you, I met and married the love of my life. Bless Jesus to bring that love back to us one day. Until then, it is a miracle to even overcome the long days of heartbreak. Mercy. I've learned that a soul can still reach from beyond the veil to comfort the living. An angel in spirit form yet your husband, my own husband and others' loved ones, still stands nearby to uplift us during stress and struggling times. As a matter of fact, my husband personally told me, a day before his passing, that he was not going anywhere. And he has kept his word. I dream of him often. And much more there is that I would love to tell, though these are things far beyond the comprehension of the human mind. I have kept many manifestations of his spirit in perfect confidentiality. These are sacred moments provided to me by the Lord as a get well offering, for I have pitifully prayed quite fervently to overcome doubt that I will live eternally with my husband; so God answers me. Life is sweeter when God is concerned. I was pitiful though. :-) I can't fault that God should hush me, for the sake of mercy; I needed it! And because of this, I'm not missing much of him, even at the awful face of death; I get through. Praise God.
I hope for you and your daughter to receive delicate comfort. Grief is really one of the greatest perplexities of life, for sure. But once you get pass a few stages, focusing on positive progress, praying, taking time to listen to for the Lord's answers, staying steady in the face of hope, you and your daughter will find a tangible emotional help and great strength. I hope this for you.
Much love! Many warm hugs too.
