It's been 2 weeks since the company I worked for has been sold. The new management keep telling different things to me and my assistants what our new jobs would be. I was concerned on the placement of the two ladies because they needed the jobs to support their family. Now they both have jobs but I was like left out in the cold. I hate to be strung along being told "we are trying to find you a position" and next thing is "no it is not right for you." I frankly gave the manager a new option is to lay me off. At this junction of my life, nothing matters any more when the most important person of my life is gone. Maybe some time off would be good for me. Just venting.
But you need to keep you taken care of, how ever that works best. If you want position and have more seniority, take it too human resources and go for a bump. They may be trying to cut costs by keeping two with less contract benefits, but if you are more qualified ...well that's up to you.
Either way , do whats best for you.
