Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I am sorry you wound up feeling so badly and obviously it must have been exhausting to do all that. Try to get some rest. It will be okay. And please don't beat yourself up for things that didn't go well. It is not so much whether you fall down but whether you can muster the courage to get up again. It's the other thing about "baby steps" - a baby learning to walk falls down but then gets up again - they may have a good cry while they are on their butts, but they do get up again. You will too.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
Integrating grief into one's life is a hard job in itself ~
While it's not a bad thing, learning from our own actions of trial & error can be the key to bringing an understanding of the journey ahead ~
We're not provided w/an instructional manual on how or what we're suppose to do or a guide to explain what grief work is, so we're left to our own devices to find out ~
And b/c of it, we all seem to start w/surface issues, while important, they really are not the deeper root cause that lies beneath ~
I've been where you are at, I thoroughly understand what it is you were trying to accomplish as well as identify in your words the main problem/common denominator most everyone suffers from while actively grieving with or without the tears ~
I'm just glad you didn't go overboard by doing something really freaky like bringing back a husband. That would've been cause for an uproar ~ *wink*
Take care ~

So I did, I'm so glad I just stopped and did only what I had to do. Now I'm a little better with going places and seeing people but it's still hard to come home to an empty house.
I am about to go crazy,
Yet, we must deal as we must; make the decisions as we must, and right or wrong forgive ourself and try to begin again with patience and understanding. We do our best and thats all we have. Sending a gentle hug your way. Sharon
Take care
