Thank you so much, I really don't know where I would be without the support I get here from my DS family, The truly understanding and relating and openness here has meant more to me than I ever thought it would. To see that we all connect and bear each others burden. Our stories mean so much and are so connected that I don't feel like a freak for not just "getting over it". This was so nice. The other responses are right. Many times we are forgotten by the world and by our own friends and family. I remember hearing that "Oh you must date a widow, they are desperate". This helps to show we are not desperate for a date, we are hurting deeply. It is nice to see there is someone out there getting the people to open their eyes to our pain.

Thank you for sharing with all of us. It never ceases to amaze me how just about every other life experience gets talked about, but when it comes to this....nothing.

Heartsick I agree totally ...no one wants to talk about this ... NOT 1 person in my family nor any of my non widow friends have made 1 single comment about the piece and I e mailed everyone I know and put the link on my facebook page. so you know they all have seen it.
So wish someone would do a longer segment on WIDOWHOOD and educate the masses about how to deal with grief and death ...
