Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I know the pain you're in dearheart, and I'm so sorry. Of course life is never the same again. It can't be ~ not when a wonderful, unique, special person is gone. But we don't really lose them ~ they are with us always in our heart. I don't know if you believe this or not, but they do have the power to visit us ~ My husband HAS visited me -- he "taps" me on the shoulder or head ~ and one time had the audacity to tap me on the fanny!!! Perhaps you too will have visits - or perhaps you already have. You may smell his cologne, or feel his presence in the room. But he'll be there.
I wish you the very best. God bless you and take care. Hugs, Lee
AN "I" amongst the other "i's" Once gone we just can not be replicated. Especially when the love they radiated to the one they loved and gave love to is gone. Can't be replicated.
We were given memory banks in our brains where we can put storage of good memories, other than that photo books and scrapbooking help.
I wrote my husband's eulogy and entitled it "God Broke The Mold When He Made You", and that's the truth, which is the reason why I have no desire to seek another.
