10 months on this widow journey and able to go thru most days with just a little tear. Christmas season tends to be bringing on many more episodes of tearing up. Today I actually cried over a box of chocolates given to me. Vendors bring in thank you gifts right before Christmas and I am not a big fan of chocolate so I would always take home to Jim. He loved it he had the biggest sweet tooth I have ever seen. Maybe it is just there are so many memories at this time of year. Believe me I cherish them all even the scrooge days. So as we all go thru this time I pray we can all find some comfort in our memories.
I'm so sorry for the loss of Jim. My husband Scott had (I just typed "has" and can't get used to this past tense stuff just yet - it's only been 3 weeks) a giant sweet tooth. I always knew I could pack up cupcakes, muffins, candy, etc and Scott would eat it. His sweet tooth knew no bounds, It's one of my favorite things about him...and of course he was a bean pole! I just don't know how he could eat so much sugar and barely gain an ounce!
