Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Call the folks who you know will be the most troubled by your introspective behavior and request that they not call you or come by for a while. Let them know that when you're ready to communicate YOU will call them.
I wish you grace and peace in your journey to find both.
Roz
Since you probably don't want an ongoing relationship with them, I think it would be appropriate to be completed clear to them. Tell them you don't want them asking for anything else. If there is something that they want that is appropriate (not your remembrances), they can write it down and send it to you. When you are able, which may not be for quite a while, you will get them those things that you can. Until then, tell them to please stay away.
It sounds like you just need to get away from these people. If you can't physically move away, maybe make them communicate in writing with anything they want - just don't talk to them.
You may also want to check with the benefits manager to see if there is any other help available through his work coverage - that might include legal advice, possibly free counseling, too.
If you think his family are fraudsters up to no good and want his info to commit something criminal, let his employer know that and the FBI know that, too,
I am sorry you're going through this. Hang in there.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
