I understand those mixed feelings. I have gotten that too, when I have gone into a store to purchase items to do yet another needed repair. I have to ask a lot of questions and I think the person helping me knows I am totally lost, have no clue what I'm doing, and feels sorry for me. I can see it in their eyes but they are always so kind.. It seems there has been an overwhelming and endless list of things breaking down or needing repairs.
I figured if I kept my kid out of the ER, I was doing ok.
I suppose my point is we have to open ourselves up to whatever help we can get. Part of our "new normal". It stinks (insert stronger words as you wish) but its our reality. I wish I could have her making me her amazing gravy & meatballs but I'll have to learn on my own. New challenges. Then I'll look up and know she's smiling. We'll figure it out....will take time but we'll get there.
