Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I felt the same way, like I was losing my mind. Rest assured, it's a normal feeling. Not nice, but normal. Take things day by day for now, minute by minute if you need to. Try not to think of the future but just focus on the present. Take care of yourself. Eat well, rest when you can. And whenever you need an ear, come here. We all understand what it is you feel.
I hope you continue to come here and read the journals and forums which should help. There are many of us here and we are all in a different place in our journey.
Come here often - talk, cry, vent or just read and I hope that it helps you as it's helped so many of us.
Sending you a hug for a better day,
Chris
I know what you are going through. I remember back the first week and wonder how in the heck did I get through each day? This will not console you, but it will be good to know that with time, that feeling does decrease until eventually it almost goes away. I say almost because I do still get it from time to time.
Grief is just like that, sometimes I think that I've got everything handled and everything is going great and then out of the blue, BAM, I can't handle anything anymore nor do I want to.
Hope this helps and feel free to message me anytime that you need to talk.

When my husband passed on, I didn't know how I was going to live without him. Every step, every breath was an effort and filled with pain. I felt like my chest was being torn apart from the inside out.
Just take everything minute by minute, hour by hour if you have to. Focus on just today. None of us can worry about tomorrow because we don't know ourselves if tomorrow will come.
We're here for you every step of the way.
Blessings, Debbie
Nothing is going to feel normal for a while as others have already told you. In fact everyone has told you the important things. The most important is come in here vent or just let us know how you are doing.
You are not going crazy, what you are feeling is normal.
Hugs
