There is a beautiful brand new set of luggage sitting here waiting for my husband to pack them for our next vacation that will now never happen. Brings me to tears everytime I look at them.

I know how you feel. I was looking through a drawer and I found an card that he had gotten and of course I starting crying. its been or will be a year this month 24th this month

I am so sorry for your loss. It's just over 6 months since my husband passed away. Todd had just purchased a huge package of paper towels before he died (he died unexpectedly) and I could not get over for weeks and weeks that those paper towels were still in the pantry but he was gone forever. It is the strangest feeling, isn't it?

It seems there will always be reminders of our love lost.

How lucky we were to have known such love. Some folks never get to have that, ever. And, I did. It doesn't always stop the tears from coming and it doesn't heal my broken heart.....but, it sure feels good to have those amazing memories!

Try to keep those close when the bad stuff lingers in!

Why the HELL did my wife spend time brushing her teeth, taking vitamins, exercising, putting coins in the bottle, buying new shoes, wash her car, get a pedicure, buy groceries, pay bills, work, etc. etc. etc. if she was going to be dead in 4 weeks!??!!!

Moody, If life was fair I guess it would not be life. This sucks big time and my SJ did mostly the same as yours but her car was a pig sty. I can appreciate the hole you are residing in now but you must start shoveling the dirt in the other direction. Much easier said than done. TD day I hit the freaking bottom and another DS called me on it. She PMed me and asked what the hell was going on. I was so low I could not see it. She helped me through the valley of hell and supported me. That is what this site is about. I have been pretty quite in my posts as I am not in Montana this week. I'm in SC staying with a special friend I meet and asked me to come see her. I was supposed to return to MT tomorrow but she asked me to stay with her through my Bday. We are becoming great friends but importantly supporting each other. She had a crap day today and I just supported, gave space and bought her some flowers. I told her I unfortunately understand her day and am here for her but cannot fix her attitude. She is much better tonight and went to bed early to rest. Glad I'm here as it was one of those days you are lonely in a crowd of people and all of you have been there.

I will be in SC until the 17th due to Deltas ripoff ticket change policy. I'm healthy and having a good time getting to know a new friend. We share many similar personality traits and are supporting eye to eye which is very special. Dewman writing from SC. Hugs to everyone!
