Sending prayers for you. My heart breaks every time I see someone new here. I totally understand what you're going through! We are all here for you. You're in for a rough ride, but hang on tight you can do this. I'm at 19 months now and I miss him a lot. The heavy pains of grief have subsided. You will feel like you are losing your mind, very forgetful, in a fog, just going through the motions but not really living. It's all normal. Big cyber hug for you (( ))

Im so sorry your husband has passed.. I know all to well about paperwork, mail still coming with his name on it.. etc.. Be gentle on yourself, allow yourself to let go, and grieve. you are perfect how ever you are able to push forward. Prayers with you, much love and big hugs carla

Truly, I am so sorry for not only his death, but all that you both have been through. You know, it was about 4 months from my Juanita's terminal diagnosis until she went home in heaven. She died 10 months ago. And only now am I beginning to fathom how emotionally difficult her last few months were on me. We simply do what we have to do because our love is so great. Throw the death on top of that, and my spiral was ever downward -- the one thing in life I couldn't overcome was this grief. And now that I've surrendered to it, I truly believe I am finally on the mend. Weird. Know that we are all here for you. God bless and comfort you ~~~ Scottie

Adding my welcome Yaya, I'm right behind you, next Tuesday is one month for me.

This board...the place nobody ever wants to come to.

But people here are wonderful and understanding and...just there for all of us. You will be glad you read posts every day if you're able.

I'm still dealing with paperwork too, and it can be daunting. But I'm also still getting lovely cards from friends, and that's so wonderful.

You know, it just dawned on me that I haven't open any, not a one, of the cards received when Juanita died. I just threw them in a drawer and haven't looked at any of them. And now I've remembered them, and I still don't want to look at them. I wonder why that is? As for paperwork, do what you have to do, and get to the rest someday when you can and when you are able. ~~~ Scottie

So sorry yaya, this is a sad group to join, but a wonderful and supportive place to be...prayers for you right now.

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved. The first days and months are nothing like any of us have experienced before. The intense loss affects your thinking, sleeping, and general well being. It is exacerbated by the things we once shared or at least had help with.
Deal with what you have to and leave the rest for clearer thinking days.I know it does not seem so now but the fog will lift and you will be able to take a breath and concentrate on the things at hand and not be consumed by the grief that is our constant companion early on.

I am truly sorry you have lost your husband.

I am now approaching the 7 month mark since the passing
of my wife. I found DSWW at 3 months and then found
DWSS of Faith ( another group in this same site ) around
]the 5 month mark. Both have really helped me as I have
met so many people that are experiencing the same pain
I am going through.

You are definitely in my prayers.
