While speaking with a cousin this weekend whom is similar in age to what Ryan would have been we were talking about being in heaven and looking down and being disappointed in what we see. I struggle daily and wonder if Ryan is pleased with the things I am doing in my life.... she gave me a thought that brought some comfort to me for a few days. She says she believes when we go to where ever it is that you think a person goes to that you loose all the worldly emotions such as jealousy and hate, sadness... etc and just really want our loved ones to be happy and make a life that they can say they are proud of and not worry about if our loved ones that passed would be proud of it.

Your cousin's concept is very similar to mine. I do believe love is eternal but I think it is on an entirely different plane that is beyond our understanding once we are in heaven.

Kimmy . . I'd like to buy into your cousin's concept as well. It would certainly make things a bit easier for us left here on the earthly plane. I question a LOT . . but don't have any definitive answers. I suppose none of us will know for sure until we are on the other side. Peaceful thoughts and hugs, D

I think this too. I also think that time is different from what we experience so it might be a bit like when you reconnect with an old friend you haven't seen for years and you can take up just where you left off (if you know what I mean) although you've both had a full life in the intervening years.

My belief is we are spiritual beings in a physical body while on earth. The physical package isn't who we are and that falls away. My connection with people I love, including my husband, never dies. Only the physical shell passes away. I believe that my husband and I are (forever ) linked by our love and experiences. That love bond grows beyond our expectations here on earth after the physical body is gone. Love and beauty is waiting for us on the other side. Sharon

I know that you read & hear what the afterlife is or isn't.
Who really knows for sure..

For me that has been so hard, is that we were so very happy here on earth & wanted so many more years together. Is that too much to ask for !!

Spirit does exit. We all can tell a person with spirit from a person without it. Spirit lives in the purest without earthly attachments such as jealousy or money or properties. They are just too heavy for a spirit to carry. Hugs, tiger

When I had a car accident when I was 18, and pronounced dead, twice. I was looking at my own body, There was no emotion, no pain, nothing. Just peace. I will never forget that feeling. When my spirit re entered my body. Everything flooded back in. I can imagine complete death, would never even realize the death, or even care. The terror, when I came back was terrible. My 2 babies were in that car with me. There are a lot I can't remember about that, but will never forget that feeling. I can think our loved ones have that internal feeling of peace. Sandee
