I am thinking about canceling my Internet servicing through cable because being a widow it is getting too expensive. But still want to get Internet. How are some of you getting service. Would really miss ds friends.if could get it. Thanks.

you could always go to where there is free wifi . You would need a phone or small laptop, but at least you could come here and visit.
I have internet through my phone company, its almost $40.

I went to Cleartalk, and get Mifi.....you can use it on 5 differen titems, then you can get MagicJack......to run off your mifi.... mifi is 29.99 a month, magicjack is 9.95 a year after initial purchace, or there are other phones you can get online.....I can take my mifi anywhere i go....So I haveinternet anywhere....outside, park, etc...if you can't afford mifi one month, just pay whenever and you get get it the next month, it is prepaid...

One option is to cancel cable and keep the internet. You can still get a lot of local channels the old fashioned way......for free. Netflix is $10 a month and has tons of movies and TV shows to watch.

You can put an antenna on your TV for the local channels.
