I recieved a bill from the hospice provider. I called my insurance company and they said that it was a penalty because while notice had been made that we were going into hospice, it wasn't timely. I explaned to them that there was no time on April 17 my husband had a chemo treatment and at that time the doctor informed us that he was stopping treatment and moving us into hospice. The hospice nurse came on that Wednesday the 18 and on the 23rd my Bob was gone. They agreed to review the claim but stated that it is their right to access a penality, It is so incredibly hard...this is an especially difficult time, Sept 23 will be 5 months and October is our wedding anniversary. It would have been our 10th and we were talking about renewing our vows on the beach in Charleston before cancer came into our lives and took his life. I guess there is never a good time but...no is so bad for me.
