I am so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain, I lost my wife on march 11. Welcome to the group! You have definitely found a great group of people here. They have helped me immensely. My sympathy on your very recent loss, it's so hard to be suddenly without your beloved. But you've found the right group to offer words of comfort and encouragement, 24/7, and no one judges us. Please take good care of yourself, and visit here when you need a shoulder to cry on...we really do understand.

I am so sorry about the recent loss of your husband. I am glad however that you found this group ... this is the most kind, caring, compassionate and understanding group of people that I have ever "met". You will not find any judgement here ... just kind words of comfort or advise ... a listening ear ... and confirmation that no matter what you're feeling, thinking, experiencing you're not crazy! We all grieve differently and there is no set amount of time until you're "all better" ... we don't get over our loss, we get through it ... grief is all in your own time and in your own way. Your loss is so recent and I am sure your emotions are very raw. I was completely numb and emotionally paralyzed for the first few months ... in complete disbelief. It's our psyche's way of protecting us from emotions we are not ready to handle yet. I am now at almost 6 months ... reality has set in that my Bob is no longer here ... I've still got a lot of work to do and a long road to travel. But I know that the people here at DS will be here with me every step of the way, as they will for you. Hugs and Blessings ~~ Lou

I am very sorry for your loss. I too lost my husband after a heart attack and complications from triple bypass surgery. 4 long months. May 5th is coming and that is the day I am dreading. But, May 1st is his birthday and I still send up 2 balloons with notes attached. One from me with my message and one from our dog, Lucky, with a message. It's 7 years now, and the pain is less, but it's still there. Your loss is new, it seems like it's a dream and not real. Take it day by day, slowly. Cry, vent do whatever you need to do. Seek out friends and family, even if you don't want to. Make sure you take care of yourself, please. I will pray that God will be with you and comfort you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. May you find some comfort here.It really does help to interact with others who really know what this road is all about. It seems the rest of the world has no clue about what it might be like for someone to lose the love of their life. Be very thankful for that fog, it will lift one day and then it hurts all over again. I am so sorry for your loss, it will get better but it takes time.
I was with my husband 41 yrs, its been 19 months for me and some days feel worse then the beginning. You never know what to expect.
I wish I had someone to hold me also but the pain remains.
