Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
A grief counselor sat with me as I cried and expressed my regrets and failures in my life and marriage. He asked me to imagine that my husband was sitting there with us and asked me...”What would Donn say as he listened to everything I just said?” I knew immediately that he would take me in his arms and tell me it was ok and he loved me always and forgives me. That truly helped me. Sit a chair in front of you and imagine your husband there and tell him all the things you need and want to say. I hope that helps you like it did me. God bless you.....Linda
Sometimes illnesses can cause odd behaviors, and especially before death. These behaviors are difficult to control and some cause weird thoughts and actions, all of which may or may not be noticed within the behaviors of other of family members suffering with the same type of illness. And I am so sorry for the complications of your husband's death. He will not be held accountable to the Lord if his source of illness caused him strange behaviors of which were out of his temporal control. And he is certainly in a place where he may think more about his spiritual life, you and the life you shared on earth, and the life eternal he hopes to share with you. While therein the spirit world, there are group activities for emotional use much like what we share here as mortals on earth. Believe me, your husband is experiencing a continuum of mental & emotional care based on his individual spiritual needs. And he will meet with you within dream-states to face-off on many questions you have for him at present. I've experienced such personal moments many times with my own departed love ones and so have my children shared such times with grandparents, seeking for forgiveness brought on by hurtful attitudes before they departed this earth.
I really hope the best for you. God bless & my prayers are sent your way today with warm thoughts.

so don't fret in hopes that they will
or could
or might
or did
or don't
or didn't.
We are here.
My husband never looked back.
I could have learned something from him.
The future seems so small in comparison to the past we shared, but in reality, it is wide open ahead of us.
Like green pastures.
Lay down and rest.
