He taught me to laugh at myself and not take everything so seriously.
So now that the 2 year date is coming, and because of him, I am stronger and have become braver. I choose my battles and weigh everything for their importance in my life. So I guess he also taught me wisdom. I think of him, smile, still love him dearly and try to be the woman he knew I could be. Thanks TJ
The strength and dignity he displayed during the last year of his life were an inspiration to me as I try to adjust to living without him. I look to his example to guide my actions throughout each day. To do anything less would be to dishonor his memory.
He was the finest person I ever knew or ever will know.
Would the gentlemen of Daily Strength care to let us know what attributes their DW (Dear Wives) possessed that they treasured; or, how they were inspired by the amazing woman that shared their life? TJ
For all his macho manliness he never left the house in the morning without sneaking into everyones room and giving a kiss and an I love you.
She was so brave when it became clear that she was going to die - and die very quickly. She was far more worried about me and the twins than about herself.
Ruth and I met at school. She was my first and only proper girlfriend and although we were financially quite poor we were emotionally very wealthy.
I miss her waking me in the night wispering that "I need a man, now!"
I miss the friendship, the companionship, the wise advice.
