There was a problem with my house and this guy came to fix it. He was 10 years younger than me but the chemistry was instant. It was a big job requiring months of work. We fought to keep away from one another as I was married but on the day he was due to finish we kissed and it was just like coming home. We kept our relationship secret for 9 months. In the interim I split with my husband from a loveless marriage of 20 years. 7 months after the separation we made our relationship public. It was amazing but from the start his family didn't approve and made his life very difficult. It didn't bother us as all we wanted was to be together - him, my son and I. He spent every free minute with us. He was so loving, kind and gentle - rubbing my face, playing with my hair, always taking care of me. It was a very intense relationship with constant calls, texts and emails all day long. Then he passed away last Sunday after only been ill for the previous weekend. During his short illness his family made it perfectly clear that in their eyes I didn't exist. Losing him was horrendous but his families behaviour compounded a horrible situation.
Now I'm heart broken and the future seems so bleak. Its very difficult to go on. If I hadn't my son I wouldn't.
