Hi Carin. I am so sorry for your loss. I too lost my husband of 21 years. He was also my world and I had no idea how I could ever live without him. Eight months in I am still struggling sometimes but a month or so ago I felt that I had turned a corner and that I can survive this. I had to keep going for our daughters which helped me a lot. Still feeling so lot though, still trying to figure out who I am without him.

Hi Carin, so sorry for your loss. I lost my dear wife aged 35 almost a month back whom i was for 10 years. She meant the world to me. I dont know how i will cope with this. Its tough and do seek out help and support. Its really painful and i talk with her parents, brother and sister everyday to cope up. May god provide you with strength and courage to deal with this loss. May you be guided on the divine path.

Hi Carin, so sorry for your loss. What a terrible shock that must have been. I lost my husband of 31 years last month and sometimes I just can't believe it. Hopefully you will find some strength here on this board..........everyone here knows what it is to lose their life partner. Sylvia

Reading your post is like looking into a mirror. I lost my husband to Synovial sarcoma last year after two years of intense treatments. He was 45 when he passed. I am 43 with a 15 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. My husband was my best friend and the only person who understood me. I feel lost everyday without him. The kids keep me going. It hasn't gotten easier for me yet. Fortunately the kids are moving on better than I am. I tried a therapist several times but with the job and the kids I missed too many appointments and all the therapists dropped me......now I am giving this online support group a chance.....

I just lost my husband May 18th to suicide. We were very solitary in our lives and there is no support system and legal issues and my own health issues continue on. I feel dead just living along although have felt that already for many years. It was unexpected and I don't know how to encourage you except that I know how it feels to have have your life gone and being like a hollow pecan shell laying crushed on the ground. We were both suffering for many years due to health and legal issues and now I am coping with this with just nature and I have one friend never met lives in another state met years years back on DS for help with chronic illness. How the hell will I do holidays? I mean before that was what I lived for and it was only me and my husband. We would get each other cards. How do you eat or cook for just yourself. I feel very unlovable. I try and look at nature alot and whatever you can think of sometimes I just walk so I don't just fall into a gun,

Hi Carin....I'm so very sorry for your loss.
I lost my Jimmy on 4/28/16 unexpectedly to what I now found out was a heart valve infection which caused cardiac arrest. We were in each others life for 27 years and he was my everything.
The waves of grief are the worst but you will manage to find your way through them one moment and one step at a time. I hope you find peace and comfort in knowing that others understand and care...Take care of you and stay safe.

Carin, I am so sorry for your loss. I understand the feelings that you are having very well. I too felt like i was lost when my husband died. He grief feels unbearable sometimes. I used to get angry when people would tell me that things would get better over time. I just couldn't imagine how that could be. But things did get better, even though I still miss him terribly, the grief doesn't consume me like it used to. Everyone has to work out their grief in their own way. Trust yourself and your love and memories of your wonderful husband.

Carin, I am so sorry for your loss, I too lost my sweet man a month ago today. The grief is a physical crushing feeling on my chest. Such heaviness of heart. He was the only person who knew all of me and loved all of me and I him.
