I'm new to Daily Strength. I lost my husband 3 years ago. I was lucky to have found someone new who loves me. He accepts my past and listens to stories me and my kids share about my husband. I'm sharing to give hope to people who are open to find someone again. I hope to make some gal friends with a past we both understand and encourage those that have a different journey then they expected.
An old friend asked if it was too soon to ask me out. My reply was "We won't know until after we try, will we?". I'm now engaged. We both have our own homes and are quite content this way for now. We are compatible but as with any new relationship are still learning about each other. He's learning to be more tactful (he can open his mouth and not think first), I'm learning to not over react as I tend to take things way too seriously. I'm a compulsive neat freak, he's not. I have an agenda when I get up in the morning, he's still working so his down time is very much needed and he seldom has an agenda.
That all being said. Congrats on finding someone!
