Hubby was a carpenter, finding screws in the house

So neat, I read a lot of old posts a few weeks ago seeking signs hubby was still around. One spoke of finding screws around and husband was a carpenter. Yesterday getting reading for Christmas I am finding screws all over, over 6, I am looking all around trying to see where they came from so I could put them back, all sizes. Nowhere could I find where they belong. Today a church telling someone a lady said he wants you to know he is watching you. How neat. Thank you Lord. I find myself talking to him a lot, helps me.

Talking to him helped me to get through the hardest days. We learn to continue our relationship with them on a spiritual level. Without that I don't know how I would have made it through. And I'm happy to say he's still here in my heart. Sharon

I'm glad to read your news. Someone once said here on DS that those who have passed on are much closer to us than we know. I believe that it true. And I agree with Sharon that we continue our relationship with our loved ones on a spiritual level. I have a picture of Sam on the dresser in my room, and I talk to him every day, even if it's just to say goodnight. I find peace in that.

I also talk to my husband picture, especially if I am having a bad day. I have also started a journal. I write to him everyday and I also write a memory of what we did. I find that I feel closer to him.

This one will sound strange perhaps, but a couple weeks ago I was teetering on the brink. Constant despair, fear, lonely and wanting him here to the nth degree. I cried so much I ached afterwards, as if I'd worked out. Then one morning as I went downstairs to let our dog out, I got a shard of glass stuck in my foot. He did die by falling on our glass coffee table, so maybe that's where it originated, but I took it as a message saying "hey, I know you miss me, but remember I could be a total pain as well, get a grip." I think I could turn almost anything into a sign by now, but it does comfort me.
I am so glad to hear you received such a meaningful sign and I am grateful that you shared it. Wishing you many more signs and the peace that accompanies them. For all of us I wish that actually. ((()))
