Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I am deeply sorry for your loss. This will be a trying time for you and your children.
I am not sure how old your children are. If they are still fairly young, they will rely on you to make all their decisions, even for gifts. I would still have gifts and a Christmas dinner. They have lost their dad, their homer, their dog their friends, they need some security, which only you could provide.
If they are older, then it is different, still accounting for the fact of all their losses. They will still need to know their mum is ok and can function.
My heart gives out to young parents faced with the loss of their loved ones. I can only imagine what is must be like to have to make every single parental decision alone.
Whatever you decide, I wish you all the very best of everything.
Big hugs and love to you,
Sandra.
I'm sure moving back to the beauty part of the world is hard leaving your friends here and makes it harder. But from my experience, people move on with their lives and unless they have been through such loss have no idea what we struggle with. Take care of you and we will be there for you to begin healing from this devastating loss. Sharon
I know I have to push myself, since my kids are young.
