I have not received my husbands autopsy report yet and it has been about 4 1/2 mos. Don't understand it and have to call again. But I have the d. Certif. and it lists 4 causes saying that autopsy was available at the time it was filed( about a few days after his death).
If you want to know I would pursue it. Even if you don't plan on sueing anybody. I believe I know what killed my husband despite what I might read and what I've already read.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I identify with your situation and am personally unresolved. It has already been six months since my love died and I know he wasn't given the chance he should have been. He died of an aortic aneurysm. It took them 17 hours to properly diagnose him and at the 19th hour mark he was gone. I've had advise to open up an investigation and sue but I'm torn about it. I mostly wish for a different outcome. I feel for you as this is such a personal choice but I feel knowing the facts ment a lot to me although I haven't acted on anything as of yet. The worst part is that he will never be coming home and I miss him with all my heart and soul. Big hugs to you as you continue your journey

Pancreatitis can easily kill. Patients must be hospitalized and can not eat or drink anything. they have to be sustained on IV fluids. Oddly enough, I know 2 people who had it in the last decade, and both had lengthy hospitalizations. In ICU's. One had it recur a couple years later, spontaneously. One man was very near death and barely survived in a top notch hospital. The Drs never figured out why he got it. Concurrent disease of the liver is common.
Pancreatitis is extremely painful.

Oh my goodness judy1951 I am so sorry you and your husband were put through that. My husband only saw the dr once before he died, they didn't do any standard tests. No blood work, no scans no nothing. They just sent him home and later he died complaining of the same symptoms. I am so scared of this consuming me, like you said, but I just want to make sure they don't dismiss anyone's complaints again.

I have walked away from litigation which would have been "slam dunks" for me to win, just because it would have been impossible to move forward in my life while litigating. but that is just me.

I wonder what the point of exempting doctors from being drug tested is....weird.
