My husband died 2 months ago, I thought I was handling things ok but for the past week all I do is fight the tears or cry. Like the others say, for a multitude of reasons. Will it ever cease? Are we talking about months, years, what? I know everyone grieve differently but I am so exhausted, feel as though I had a relapse that won't go away....

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

The most important thing to remember is that the intensity with which you are feeling your loss will diminish. Your loss is so new and my words of encouragement probably ring hollow to you right now. But you will wake up one morning and feel hope beat within you. You may not have planned for it, but it will happen. It's the way life unfolds for the survivor. Hang on to your hat, it's a bumpy ride. The roller coaster of emotions does come to a halt at some point! TJ
things will bring a day of tears.sometimes driving, checking out at a store or even waking from a dream. i know it's also early in this grief journey for me too. i feel like i'm living in a fog that clouds my thoughts & has taken purpose from my life.
sending you a big hug
i have learned so much from this wonderful site.
It's not a straight road. Sometimes it's straightish and you'll think "I'm getting somewhere".
Other times it will go in circles and you will feel stuck.
There may be times when the road loops back and you think you are more or less back where you started.
But all the time you are moving forwards.
Sally
Thank you for putting that so beautifully.

You will get through these horrible days, and you will survive. There is an inner strength that comes, unbidden, and helps you, even when you think you are at your weakest. Hang in there and be good to yourself. Don't beat yourself up for these feelings. We learn to 'go with the flow', and that is usually tears.
At this point, you will not believe that it truly does get a little easier as you work through your grief. It takes time, and only time will help.
Bless you. Hugs, Joely
So sorry for your loss.
