What a wonderful way to honor him. and I bet you coujd just see him with every bite. I cook Greg's favorite meal on our anniversary every year now (both of them), and have been to "our" restaurant with the kids also. I could see him there right with us as we talked and laughed. Leaving a little piec of that legacy with them also.
It DOES help!!1

We to have started honoring my husband by watching the videos on these special days and even on regular days just because we want to see or hear his voice... I think it is part of the healing to talk about them. Do the things they liked and remember the wonderful life we shared with these amazing people who we loved and still love so dearly. We all have so much sadness in our heart it is in the doing in their memory that slowly starts us to heal.
thanks for sharing..
hugs,
Cie
I think the word "Honoring him" was a big help in my keeping it not so much of a loss. We have done this now for last year.
This past year I did not celebrate his birthday as my family always made our special BIRTH day our day since those days are no longer a part of a life - we do other special honor days though.
