Hi; Found this site very shortly after my husband passed; and just logged on from time to time; seeking a little comfort and connection; read heartfelt feelings of those that are feeling what I am feeling and going through the same passage as myself; my heart truly goes out, and aches for everyone in their pain and loss; On Feb 16th it will be 2 months that I lost my husband in a tragic accident; when I arrived at the hospital he was already gone; so devastated, could not believe or absorb the reality of it;  it still at times seems unreal; I feel as if he is just gone for awhile; and will be coming home soon; and  there are so many day to day emotions as we all know; ups, downs, etc.  I take a walk, tears along the way; I read a post that someone had written and that I can relate to;  in the early evening, right around dinner time/sunset...such an emotionally sad, very hard, down time for me; like a dark cloud descends over me..I am looking to God for my peace and strength; and I know he will be there for me...

I am so sorry for your loss. I can relate to the dark cloud even on the sunniest of day that cloud continues to linger over me as well. We are told to trust in God’s timing for His peace and strength. For some reason God and I don’t seem to be using the same clock or we are in different time zones

Thank you for your kind words.. my Husband passed at 6:03pm; I've done the same thing starting early on after loosing him....shower, then climb into bed, which is for me a comforting sanctuary; and have my quiet time and read; listen to my little dog snore; I love my little guy; he's such a comfort to have with me......and then watch some TV and drift off, but never for too long; wake up a lot; but always have...but think it's more so now....how long ago did your Husband pass away?

Oh MET, that was Dennis' birthday; Sam's was Sept. 7. I would sometimes get their BDs mixed up. Then I would say, "There's a story behind that...."

Lamb, sorry for your loss. I am feeling that dark cloud now, as we speak.

And I just now got their birthdays mixed up. Dennis' was the 7th: Sam's was the 6th. There's a story behind that....

My loss has only been 3months. Daily at dusk is when the worst times hit me as well. I think it is because that is the time he would be coming home from work. "Hey Pumpkin I am home" is what he would say when he came thru the door. Lord how I wish I could hear those words again. I am sorry that you or any of us has to go thru this pain. <3

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband very suddenly. I still can’t believe it’s real.

Hi Lamb, I am so sorry for what you are going through. Supper time was the hardest time of the day for me too. I kept waiting to hear my husband's footsteps on the stairs when he came home from work. He died suddenly in an accident too. When I got to the hospital, he was also gone. We are looking at long days and long nights, but you are looking to the right place for peace and comfort. These things originate with God and I am glad that you know that. Still, it is a long hard journey and I will be praying you through it. Please know that most days between 10:00 -11:00 and again in the evening I will be praying for you and that I come to this site frequently to know what you are going through at that time so that my prayers can be specific.
