I am so very sorry and cannot imagine just how hard this has to be for you. I am also having a rough day--- being the first holiday since my husband passed . He died on January 30th but our marriage had been deteriorating for last 12 of 17 years. Despite that, I did still love him and did not want to see him with his health issues or to have to suffer.
With you having 2 healthy , loving relationships-- this has to be incredibly hard. I do remember you saying before though that as hard and painful it was when you lost Cindy-- you were so lucky to have been blessed with a second chance for both you and Wendy helping each other through such a hard time and finding each other... and love again. There is a song I have been replaying and in it is a line of a heart that has broken you know has been loved. Know that you have found that twice. While it sucks immensely having to go through this again... know you were (and I am sure will always be loved)
I hope and pray that maybe you will be able to spend at least part of the day with her younger daughter or a close friend. Not sure if all is as it is here in the states? All are in lockdown and all but in exile. I am here alone while my family is not very far away... but because of distancing, I cannot go to see them. Is funny how even though Dave (my late husband) and I did have strains on our marriage because of health issues and his shutting down (both physically and emotionally) I can still miss him and his presence so much.
I cannot do anything but listen though I wish I could do more. I do send prayers, love and hugs and hope that it may help just a bit to know that you ( as well as any of us spending the day all alone) may know that someone else does care.

After my first husband passed, I grieved, of course, but I felt an inner strength and a resiliency to build a new life. Now, I feel indifferent to life and just wish God would call me home. I dont mind the shelter in place either. I dont want to be around people (a huge change from my normal personality). Does anyone relate to this?
