Two days ago I was having a horrible day - one of the worst since my husband died. Won't go into details but just an all around terrible day (last day of work too) in which I could not stop crying. Anyway, I've had several what appear to be "signs" from my husband since he died (won't go into it now) and I repeatedly asked that my husband give some other "sign" because I needed it.
I did laundry, put clothes in the closet and went to bed. The next morning I opened the closet and there was white flaked insulation all over the closet. The entrance to the attic is in the closet ceiling - a board you push up. I looked at the board and there was some insulation around the edges which was not there before.
I do not understand how this could have happened. The insulation is all new. Raccoons recently tore holes in the soffitts and my homeowners insur. paid to repair the house and put in new insulation. There is no way an animal of any kind could have gotten in because the house was just repaired and all new wood etc. was added. No one came into the bedroom plus you'd have to stand on a ladder to reach this.
It reminded me of what I had told my husband at least once - I don't know if he would remember it tho. When I was little my mother used to say "God is up there" and point up. I thought he was literally living in the attic. When we went to church my mother said they same thing and I used to sit in church looking up at the attic and think - why are we all sitting down here? why don't we go up to the attic to see God? One time I even walked around the church looking for a stairway. (Maybe I wasn't such a bright kid then.) Anyone have an explanation for the insulation?

I've had many "signs". Embrace them! I know I do. He promised me he'd never leave me, and in my heart, I don't think he never really did. I've always wanted to go to see John Edwards to see if he would cross-over. And, no I'm not a nut-case, just very curious...

No matter the logical explanation it sounds to me like you just "kisses from heaven".

I've no idea how the insulation came down into your closet, but I've a sneaky suspicion that God is up there. :-) Doubt if He's alone.

I've had many signs too. One in particular that I would like to share. Yesterday, I was dusting the living room and April was in the living room with me too. We were talking and the light turned on in the dining room. what made me look up is I heard the light switch go on. We were the only ones in the house and I know dam well the dog didn't do it! so yes, that was a sign, embrace it, and be happy your husband is with you. I am, and I take great comfort in it.

Sure sounds like a sign to me! I have had a couple of experiences with my cellphone in my pocket, dialing up my husband's old phone number at his assisted living facility all by itself. It isn't on any kind of speed dial and would have required me to push at least 3 or 4 different buttons to bring up that number. Glitch in the phone or........maybe "sign". laurabp
