I'm sure that you and the docs and nurses did everything you could. We all have to go sometime. Sorry for your loss. My husband also had cancer. It was horrible trying to fight for his life and cancer winning. My heart goes out to you. You are not alone. But please don't take on the burden of his life and death. Let God have that burden. Then let God take care if you. I hope you don't find this offensive. Faith helps me.

My mind swirled with guilt initially when Donald died of his cancer, did this mean I did not do his feedings right, did not take him to the right doctor, referrals, give him medications on time, process his food so he could swallow......make the decision to go to the ER too late, make the decision for hospice too soon.........all just swirlled around, truth is, I did all I knew to do with all i had at that time.........You did as well d....we did, Cancer won, it has won many times. But our husbands gave it one hell of a fight and they did that for our sakes mostly.................try to let go of the guilt, give your mind some peace

When my husband had cancer 15 years ago. He finally came to terms with it, they gave him 2 months to live.

He said, its a WIN/WIN situation. If he lives, he wins to be with family. If he dies, he wins to go with with the Lord, where he has been trying to go, when he is gone. He lived....It was not his time.

2 years ago had a AAA, which you usually bleed out within 10 miutes. IHe made it to Memphis, hd surgery, during which he had a Thorias Spinal Stroke....... It wasn't his time.....

3 months ago, they couldn't find anything wrong with him. It was his time.
