Dont feel badly about feeling guilty. You are allowed to feel however you feel. I used to say that to my husband when he'd say "you shouldn't feel that way". Go right ahead. But I'm sure your husband is looking at what you are doing and feeling proud of you for accomplishing so much. I'm sure he's not thinking that you should make more of an effort to be sad or to find ways to honor him. You are honoring him by continuing to live a life that you have remaining. Just finding a way to get through each day is enough. I hope you find some peace.

I went back to work one week after losing my husband. I needed the distraction and I also now needed to support myself. Life's responsibiites do not end when we lose our loves. In face, they are compounded by the fact that we must take care of business alone. You are taking care of your needs, financially and mentally. . Please don't feel guilty about that. Jim would understand. I found going to work easier than just staying home all day and being constantly reminded of my loss in the place where our most intimate moments were created. Does your heart forget? Would he want you to feel miserable all the time? I felt guilty also when I started to feel better after my husband died. Now my fear is I'll forget him. I can't forget him because he's still my soul mate. I don't think my husband would like for me to feel bad all the time and I doubt yours would either. It's all a part of healing from the grief process.

Guilt over good moments It's hard but you have made a good step to recognize that you need help. You are moving in the right direction. Begin a project in his memory, something you enjoy to do. Know that you can get through this season of loss and you have turned to a great support group.
