Hi all...I'm new here. I lost my husband of 42 years a year ago this Oct.12. I'm 58 and he was 74. This is the first time I have been on my own since I went straight from my parents to my life with him. It's a hard adjustment. For most all of my life he was there, now he's not. Life seems so empty and meaningless. I lost my only sister to cancer on 2014 so I am all alone, no family. I have a couple close friends, but I need to somehow make a new life. I am retired. I would like to make some new friends but I have always been a bit of an introvert and quiet so it's difficult for me to strike up friendships. Any suggestions how I might do so ? I'm not interested in dating as I think my husband was the only one for me. Thanks for letting me introduce myself and I am so sorry you all have lost your loved ones.
