I know exactly what you mean. My husband loved the grandkids so much. Whenever they were around and did something cute he would talk about it forever to anyone who would listen. His love for them was so real and returned as deeply. I like to think our loved one is watching and smiling down at our grandkids and on us.

my husband loved his grandkids so very very much...our grandkids miss their grandpa richard more than words could ever say...he was always there for him, and always doing things with them...they thought he was really "awesome"...loosing grandpa was so hard for them....so hard...and right after he passed, they lost their uncle, age 39...and then they lost another grandfather...all in one year...it has been a very very difficult time for us all...

My grand children talk about their grama every time we get together. The two youngest ages 9 and 11 have taken it the hardest, because they lived close by and seen their grama every day. Just today the youngest told me that she prays for grama every night and writes to her in her journal.
I could not imagine life without them.

My husband never did get to see the most recent grandchild. I remember how excited he was when he found out that my younger son and his wife were expecting. I knew at the time that he probably would never see this child. She is two months old now. Judith

Our three grandaughters know the picture on the wall and tv stand is Papaw. It breaks my heart they will not remember him, but i have vowed they will know all about him. They were only two, one and seven months when he passed 6 months ago. I too like to believe he can see them.He fought hard to make it until the youngest was born, and made it seven months after. Even at his weakest, he lit up when they walked in the room.

my wife and i helped raise you grand daughter she lived with us for five years and my wife was the one who stayed up with her at night when she wasnt feeling good her little brother a little over a year old when cindy died and he doesnt remember her but keira thats our grand daughter does and talks to her all the time and i made it my job to make sure they do remember their mama. she did love them so much keira was her life

Our grand kids miss their pawpaw terribly...the youngest who is 5 will just start crying telling his momma that he misses pawpaw. Pawpaw would wrestle on the floor with them...put 3 or 4 at a time on the motorcycle and ride them around the yard...bring them goodies and food...big hugs and dollars for each of them when they went home. I have continued the dollar tradition...my husband's mom started it with our children. Blessings~ Debbie

Can not comment on grandchildren but I can comment on kids. I have 5. Mike didn't live to see the last one born in November. Some of the kids are still angry and some will never remember anything. I don't want to hear the word "grandmother" for at least 20 more years. :)

My husband did not live to see his ypoungest of 6 grandkids either. I felt so sad I have decided to clean out the tool shed and convert it into a playhouse for the children. Then I'll put up a big picture of him so the grandkids will come to associate him with their fun times. He loved his children and grandchildren. (Wish me luck, I've never atte,mpted a project this big but with help I think I can do it!)

We have 8 grandkids now, the youngest is only 8 months and will not remember Poppy, that breaks my heart, and we just found out another is on the way, wish he could have been here to see him, he loved our grandchildren so. I'm having a difficult time doing things with the grandkids because what we did with them we did together, it's gut wrenching. They are so precious and they miss their poppy so much.

My grandson was a year and a half when his pop-pop died, but my daughters ordered a large canvas collage of pictures of my Mike playing and holding my grandson in different settings. We point to the pictures and I tell him the story of each one. Mike loved that little boy, especially since we had girls and he never had a son of his own.

My husband was such a good Grandpa, unfortunately his two sons never brought their kids around much so they did not know him well. BUT my two knew him very well, he was so calm and cool with the teens. My Granddaughter was called his third dog (we had two dogs that followed him everywhere she was the third). My sons son is just now 2 and one on the way so they will never knew him. I am making scrapbooks and books for them.
Hayley was so super close, she did everything with him on the place, building horse shelters, shoveling snow, she was always where ever he was.
