My husbands best friend drove his tractor trailor in the Trucks parade for cancer today. He had my husbands name and another friend of theirs who also died of cancer this year on a banner on the front of the truck. My son was fortunate enough that he got to ride in the truck with him. I know that meant so much to him. Thanks to all the truck drivers who care for those who lost the battle with cancer and those who are survivors of it. Good friends and good people are wonderful. What a wonderful tribute to your husband and I am glad that your son got to ride in the truck. Yes, there is lots of good people out there trying to find the cure and participating in cancer fundraisers......hugs

Honoring the lives of our loved ones who died from cancer is so important. In that way, they can live. As long as they are not forgotten, they live still.

That is so wonderful. It is sometimes the most simple forms of expression that mean the most. It gave me an idea of something I may want to do. Every year my Father would drive his antique car in our local July 4th parade. All the family would be there to cheer him on. Now that he is gone and my husband that would be a way of honoring him. Thanks for sharing such a sweet story.
