Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I wouldn't have traded our amazing 42-year run of love to keep me from the grief journey for anything this world has to offer. During those years, a woman, wife, and mother emerged from a love-struck pup at the age of 17. No amount of relief from this gut-wrenching journey would be worth replacing those years of love, struggle, and our safe haven for a thriving family. Nope, I guess you can call me twinkle toes, because I LOVED the dance! Blessings to you. TJ
I recall the pain being so intense that I actually thought to myself that maybe my life would have been better or less painful had I never met my husband. That's when you begin to realize you wouldn't trade that for all the gold in the world. Yes, it is worth the pain. We are here to enjoy the dance of life not knowing when or how it will end. It will however, end at some point.
you are right, for me it was how appropriate for how I've been
feeling.....seems my Jim speaks to me everyday ... this song says
alot.....
I thought to myself, how wonderful the dance was for me with my Jeff. And Jeff did know that the dance was about over and tried to tell me.
I have been so blessed to have been loved by this man. I don't know how anyone would ever be able to get me to "dance" again in my lifetime. I had the best dance partner ever!
