All any of us can do is take a deep breath and do what is best for us. Thoughts and hugs. Jo
I used to feel sorry for the people who obviously looked like they were eating alone with their T.V. Dinners and one or two apples and 6 eggs.
Now it's me [except for the T.V. Dinner, can't eat those, yet]!!!!

I haven't gotten to the part where I feel more positive than lonely about it . but yes, I do some things differently than when he was here.
I don't bring the junk foods home, whereas he loved that stuff here.
I will be getting out more pretty soon. will probably be low key and get out in the local scenery.
I've heard that changing things inside the home will help, but that will have to wait for money. I do have ideas but have to be careful in planning.
Some of our priorities shift, and there is a ripple effect through different areas of our lives. It sounds like some of the exploring you are doing is pretty cool. It shows courage and I think it's healthy.
Love and Hugs,
Martha
Now, I'm sitting where he sat, bringing over bags of food and leaving them there. I walk by them in the morning and I think, "if you're watching me, you must be hysterically laughing at me!"
I think it's a combination of old habits [that we're trying to hold on to] and new discoveries of am I?
After living with someone for so many years and not really having an identity of my very own.......I'm waking up this sleeping giant! I hope I like her!

I'm finding that now that I've taken over cooking for me and my son, I'm doing some things that my wife used to do. I never used to cook fish, but now I've tried it a couple times. I think I'll never enjoy cooking as much as she did thoughNow that we're moved into another house, I still haven't put up any of her favorite prints, or even her own paintings, which she was getting good at. I can't even get myself to open the boxes. So with that and other things, the house is lacking her feminine touch. I'm not sure what do to about that.
