I plan on trying to read this at my husband's Irish wake we'll be having on the 16th.
Funeral Blues

I'm so sorry for your loss. This is a tough grief journey, we do survive in our own way and time. My heart and prayers are with you in your time of darkest hours. This too shall pass my friend . . . stay with us, we are here.

Don't beat yourself up if you can't get past the first paragraph.
When we speak of the one's we adore and love, we speak of us! In this light speak the words that speak of both you and your love, they must be heard. You will always remember that you did this for not only him but for you too.

I'd say read it as you can and on the 16th I'll be thinking of you.
But...Also have someone ready to finish reading it in case you can't, as my friend, words said out loud are very important. And even if you are broken down if someone reads it all, until the end, your heart will feel at peace at that specific moment.
