I just want to share a very positive experience with you all. Last night our small grief group from church met together (just had our 6-week session ending last Nov.). There are only 8 of us, most of us did not know each other very well. During our grief sessions there were many tears and gut-wrenching pain as we shared our losses with each other.

At the last meeting we decided to get together once a month for a meal. Last night was our first one. We ate at Village Inn where it was very quiet and private in the back. I wondered if it would be awkward since we are spred out in ages and commonality.

From the moment we sat down, the conversation never lacked for interesting remarks from everyone. We shared travel experiences and current information, such as that I need someone to build me a pole barn, and two of the members knew a great contractor that could do it for me!

Early on, we touched on our loved one's lives, shared some sweet memories with each other. It was so natural to talk about how we feel to each other. We even discussed what a bond we have with each other, through our grief experiences. The whole night was a roaring success, so much laughter and enjoyment. I just wanted to share with you all. Especially those who are so new in their grief. It will get better!
