First trip alone

Well the time came to check on a second home in Florida, for 25 years came here at least 4 times per year with hubby. I am reading "Hello from Heaven" while waiting for the plan and getting teary eyed missing hubby. Well God put a gentlemen who married his childhood sweetie next to me and we talked the entire way. That helped. A friend drove over and spent the first night so I wasn't alone, but left early this am. Laying by the door was a pamphlet saying "Can the dead really live again" by a church group well weathered. Put a smile on my face. Yes they live again. Tonight I accidentally set the alarm off so once again put a smile on my face. I even changed a bad fluid master in the toilet, never even knew what they were before. So many things I have to learn to do that hubby did. Now I had to get rid of all his things in this house, pain all over again. So many happy pictures though, thankful for the years we had.

Congratulations!

I am always amazed how the "right people" pop into our lives just when we need them. I too, traveled next to an amazing young man on my first trip. It made all the difference for me. Glad you had a similar experience!

I'm a true believer that good people are placed in our paths to assist us during our time of need. I'm so proud of you; for all the accomplishments you have acquired. Life is not easy yet, with the Grace of God we are able to accomplish the impossible.

I am glad you did this. It seems like a milestone. Too bad we have to have those, huh? About the bad fluid master in your toilet - I think that may be the problem in mine. What does it look like, and how did you do it? You may have just helped me too.

its the part that is to the left of the part with the flapper. If you push it up and down the water should stop running. My husband had one and I replaced it, just be sure all the water is out of the tank. Good luck. Darn never thought I could do these things. This was a second home to us for 25 years where we came about 4 times per year, full of his things, now I am doing all over what I did at home. Lots of cards and notes from him I had kept while here. A few tears but making it. Thank you Lord.
