Today is the my first birthday without my George in 46 years. I miss my love. His smile, his loving spirit and his strength. Funny how little things pop up in your head. When I drank my cup of coffee this morning I thought of the times when we had a camper at the beach and the first cup of coffee in the morning that we shared that was so good. We had so manny good times and I am thankful to God that we did. I love you George and miss you today.
the first birthday as all the first and many time the seconds!, are so bittersweet.
It's wonderful though, that the memories that are flashing before you are all good ones of smiles, and gentle ways. Of a GREAT love and life togther. I hope that one of them make YOU smile today, and then you will give him a gift for his birthday! the gift of YOU smiling as you remember him.

I cannot imagine what you much be going through today. I am no where near happy memories. The memories are still tear jerkers that land me crashed on my knees or flat on my face praying to God for comforting.
You are a brave woman indeed. Amazing how others go through these significant dates and times, and memories too. Wow, I sure am not looking forward to those dates I mentioned.
Even still, I do wish you blessings on this day in a way that reaches your heart and soul with peace and comforting.
