Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
So I understand your thoughts but don't allow it to take over, you have enough to deal with just taking one day at a time. Hugs !!!
I think it is just part of adjusting to being single, at least I hope it is, I hate to think I will worry like this the rest of my life. I know for me things will ease a bit once I do not have to support others and am living by myself. At least then I will only have to worry about me and not about me and the kids.
I'm thankful for my job & hope to be able to work for awhile longer.
I just try & take it a day at a time tho. Just like everyone says. I do not think to far ahead in the future anymore.
Take care, Lucy
Best thing to do is not worry until it happens, why waste your time till you need to.
All we can do is be as responsible as possible and do our best. I tried to buy happiness during my pity party time and learned quickly buying material things didn't make me any happier. Beware of that trap. It can be devastating if it continues too long. Sharon

From two incomes to one - and just SSI now its scary altho' I make alittle extra on the side helping at my friends tack shop its not nearly enough to feel financial secure.
I am doing it but if one major thing goes wrong its called I am SC*&^ED
And I start stressing at times big time all over again.
I am thinking of contacting AARP they have a program to help SRs reup their skills or get new skills to help them get employment
