I often wonder why these boys have had to endure so much pain in their lives and at such a young age. We finally were making progess with the kids .. both are special needs .. when Rob passed .. now it's almost like we're back to square one - only now I'm left to deal with it alone, as a single parent (and an old single parent at that!).

There are many wonderful films that have made an impact on me. Several that come to mind are "Door to Door," made in 2002, featuring William Macy. Two starring James Earl Jones are "Cry, Beloved Freedom" (also a great book) and "The Vernon Johns Story." My very favorite movie when I was younger was "A Man for All Seasons." I also liked the 2006 film "Amazing Grace" about William Wilberforce, the individual who was mostly responsible for ending England's part in the slave trade.
I guess I like movies about people overcoming seemingly insurmountable difficulties or those who are able to act with integrity and conscience to make positive changes.
