I had to share what happened today; My son and I were at our local Salvation Army store to just look around...I was passing a rack of Ladies leather jackets, and there it was.....the lavender leather jacket that belonged to my beloved Maria.
I donated her clothes to the Salvation Army after she passed away 3 months ago...I hadn't thought that I would run across something of hers today, and I wasn't even looking for them...what are the odds...the sight of that jacket brought back memories...I miss her so....and to top off the week,
tomorrow would have been her 59th birthday....I feel so lost without my soul mate. I know it hasn't been that long and my mourning her loss will take time...I just like to have you all I can reach out to.

Two things ,there are no chance meetings, and everything, regardless if we understand, like or know it, happens for a reason.... Maybe it was your wife reminding you, that she still loves you. I believe our loved ones, love us from the spiritual world, but I also believe that having you all have helped me beyond belief. Grieving is a personal experience, and you are perfect in how you feel. time is the only thing that can help sometimes. Much love and hugs carla

I truly don't know how I would have been able to handle it but
I agree with Carla. It is likely it was not a chance meeting and
perhaps you were supposed to discover the jacket.

The time will come when you think of her and smile. For now it's sadness because our loss is new and grasping ever feeling better seems impossible. I know how hard it is for you, but her love for you remains forever as does your love for her. Sharon

I guess this why they call it healing and not getting over. Because we are all trying to heal from an enormous wound. And like any major injury after healing we will all carry some form of scar around with us as a reminder of the life we had.
But while healing we continually have things happen that open up that wound along the way. It's like my uncle has been telling me. You will never get over it but somehow figure out your own way of living with it. Take care.
