nope...not cured of the widow plague - never will be, not sure I want to be. but I do consider myself ME much more than 1/2 of US these days. It feels kind of sad, but something I will get used to. Now I just have to discover who I want me to be. I am sure I will go flying backwards now and again but for today I am on this path and need to focus forward. Now to figure out how ---- 31 years was a long time to be us

We have no choice but to move forward., even in the smallest ways. Every day we hope that this will end, but this doesn't end. All we can do is keep the faith that we will get to a point where we can share a smile. The smiles will come more easily. Hugs to you. Sharon

I too, am stuck in the middle. Don't want to be here anymore. But, where to go from here? Almost 30 months here, after 50 years together. Almost think, everyone just leave me alone? Let me know if you ever get this life sorted out? (((hugs))) Sandee

Deep breaths girl . . . you will heal and it does get better, ever so slowly. We shouldn't expect too much, as in 31 years to be over anytime soon. It takes time. I know, I know . . same repetitive talk, but it's true and this is how it effectively gets us to a better emotional space in future. It sounds like you are making slow and steady progress, and that's wonderful. Yes, forward focus, creating goals for YOU is equally important. One foot in front of the other. Thinking of you and sending some positive momentum your way. Hugs, D

Yesterday at the store the cashier asked if I'm remarried. I told her no, and that's never going to happen again. I talked to my daughter today and asked her how anyone could think I would just go and marry someone else now. My doctor pesters me about it too. I lie and tell her some stupid thing, like I'm open to that, or I'm considering it. The last time I told her the truth, I got a lecture. Amazing the things people imagine to be good for others. Sheeeesh! Like I need someone to tell me who I am.

It takes time and we will move forward slowly. We enjoyed get together with friends before. I have decided to move to my next phase. I invited several new church friends to join me and my grandchildren for a tea party. This tea party help us get to know each on a more personal level and I am glad to get back to sewing napkins with tea pots design and make table cloth with dogs and cats for the children's table to match their tea set. Everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. My husband and I loved to have fun in our lives and I want to have fun now.
