My husband of 45 yrs was a veteran.he would always have our kids home and have steak dinner with the whole works for memorial day. but on march 20th 2017 suddenly past away of a massive heart attack,in a heartbeat i lost my better half.now all i have is silence and the heartwrenching pain.wish i could just sleep and never wake up.

I understand how you feel. My husband was my best friend and we would have been doing something fun together right about now. I decided to check in with some friends who are also widows and feeling very alone. It did help a little thinking about cheering someone else up rather than simmering in my own loneliness. Fighting depression can be a full time job when you're a widow, but keep fighting.

I know how you feel. I went from having a happy life to being plunged into hell when my husband also died suddenly of cardiac arrest. Things are just not the same and it's hard to live alone for the first time ever. I try to keep myself distracted as best I can.
