I have tons of Cardinals here, but each time I go outside one single male flies to a nearby limb and just watches me.......have even seen one on a branch outside my kitchen window looking in......could it be my Ben watching over me?

I have always heard when you have Cardinals they are angels from Heaven watching over us......I want to believe that.

I hope your Dove comes back again and again.

Isn't it wonderful to have such a touching experience? Nature can teach us so much if we have watchful eyes to see and an open heart to feel.

Crazy as it sounds, I think Jim has come back as a Raven. We never had them before, but about a week after his passing they showed up. Since then, he and his friends stop by on a daily basis, even throughout the winter. He's sometimes solo, but usually has about three or four buddies tagging along. :) I talk to him also. Kind of weird, but oh well. Everything is weird these days!

I totally am convinced that their spirit stays with us as long as we need them. For me the signs have changed over the past, but I know he still watches over me and gives me strength. My husband will be gone 8 years this summer and the loss has softened but will always be present as will he. Sharon

for me it's a cardnial - they were my husbands favorite bird and the male was the very first thing I saw out of the window the first two morningsafter he passed. No LOL- take the peace where you can find it. I look forward to my cardnial reappearing and am always grateful when he does.

A few weeks after my husband died I was sitting on the back steps and crying when a fledgling robin hopped over to me and jumped onto my hand when I held it out. Years ago I raised a baby robin and returned it to the wild. I have always loved them and Dan knew that. It may have been just a random thing, but I took it as a sign and was greatly comforted by it.

Doves appeared right after my husbands death. Built nests right outside his room. They reappeared again the next year, built nests again. This year they appeared on the other side of the house, and again are nesting. I had never seen hem before his death. We have lived here 16 years.

my family has a red tailed hawk that comes around at different places and different times of the day.

Thank you all, I just knew it was my hubby, waiting for him again. So glad to hear of other's experiences. It wouldn't seem right if I went to heaven and could not be a part of my loved ones lives. I feel his presence a lot.
