Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
I am so sorry for what you are going through. You are going to have to be so strong. You have a lot on your plate. I can understand your anger. You have a right to feel the way you do. I can only say that I am sure your husband was very sick and he did what he did to get out of pain. There is no way to explain it otherwise. You are so blessed to have 3 kids and they need you now more than ever and I am sure you have the strength to do this. I know someone who had a similar situation and they were able to come through. It has only been 2.5 months since my husband of 30 years died suddenly at home. I still cannot believe it. You are in my prayers :-)
You have found the right website and we are all here for you. Cry when ever you want and how long you want. Please remember to sleep when you can, eat when you can and drink lots of water. We are here for you. Always remember that.
Now is the time to call in favors and make use of whatever resources are available. Talk to your doctor, your priest, the school, as well as family and friends. If you are working, talk to your human resources folks to find out what's available through your work, or through your husband's work.
I am sorry you needed to be here, but glad you found us. I stayed on here after I rebuilt my life and am one of the Community Leaders (or "CL") for this group. I survived it, and you will, too, but it's going to take little steps at first to get through this. Don't give up - you can get through this and you don't have to go it alone.
Love and Hugs,
Martha, co-Community Leader
Joni
P.S. Glad you found this site. The people here were so wonderful to me when I needed them four years ago.
