Widows & Widowers Support Group
This community is dedicated to those who have lost a husband, wife, or partner. Anything is open for discussion here, with the hope that we can focus on grief, bereavement, life after loss, and continuing on after a great loss.
Icezam, I so understand what you mean. I think we here, after going through this, and trying not to scare our familyfrinds away with what's really going on, we all deserve Academy Awards for acting under PRESSURE!
Everytime I tell that same lie about 'I'm fine", "Getting along so far" "pulling through", I'm exhausted at trying to keep a straight face through it.
I get through work, close the door, go to my room, and then LET IT OUT for the night! Like a cup that's always OVERFLOWING, and you just can't wait to pour it out!
What I'm most thankful for is finding this site. Don't know where I'd be without it!!!
Hugs TO ALL here at DS and THANK YOU!! diane
Hugs, Helen
I'm glad you are all here to listen to my insecurities and my deepest emotions.

Doesn't matter what the problem is on this merry-go-round, DS is like a sounding board for many subjects. At just over 2 yrs, I can't believe I am still a member here. Thanks DS and all of its members, new and old.
Great post!

I sometimes do not understand the continued struggling but its pretty normal from what they say here, and say in the grief books.
One step forward, a few back, a few forward, one back, good days and bad days, all of it - still a dull aching pain.
Darn it anyway huh. And with everyone else you can not talk about them. Its like you spoke a curse word....It does make me wanna curse....
